To the Dream Hunters; 10 things to leave in 2010...Pt. 2
con't from http://fattynotatty.blogspot.com/2010/12/to-dream-hunters-10-things-to-leave-in.html
Here are tips 6-10 to use while hunting your dreams in 2011
6. Looking at the other Runners
Take a cue from Olympian Usain Bolt. Its hard to pay attention to much more than the fact that he's faster than your next door neighbors 16 year old daughter. Yet if you watch closely one thing will become clear. He is hell bent on running as fast as he can. He doesn't look back to see how far he's come or the mistakes he's made. He doesn't look to the side to see where the other runner are in proximity. He is undeniably focused on the finish line.

7. Ignorance
If you want to make the most out of this coming year. Educate yourself, I beg of you. Make sure that you know what is going on in the world and in your community. Don't be caught off guard. If there have been new advancement made in your field you should already know about it before it's eve
8. Lying
Tell the truth and shame the devil! Try to be as honest with yourself and others as possible. If is easier to reach your goals when your life is uncomplicated and pure. Success is not a a parking spot. You'll still have to live with yourself and other even when you have arrived. Do not create webs that will keep you from your ultimate aspirations. Keep your path clear.
9. Tardiness
Be on time! Don't be late for meetings, interviews, or even dates. You never know who you're going to be meeting and it is so important that you make a great first impression. Even if you are meeting with someone you already know, being on time shows that you respect them and their schedule...'the early bird catches the worm'
10. Dreaming Small
You are who and what you think you are. Success is more than money, cars, and clothes. Success is contentment. Close your eyes and picture yourself as happy as you can be, then open your eyes and work for it. The world is your oyster... God has blessed this world enough for everyone.
Happy New Year and I hope you catch your dreams!!

To the Dream Hunters; 10 Things To Leave in 2010...Pt. 1
Everyday you wake up is a blessing and it's an opportunity to live your best life ever. Moreover, every New Year is an chance to refocus and move closer to success. If you are hunting your dreams then I suggest lighten your load and leave these things behind as you climb to the top!
1. Stragglers
Anyone who doesn't have a definite role or title in your life is a 'straggler'. Your digital rolodex should be sectioned as followed friends, family, or business. Everyone else can kick rocks. If you must keep associates then let them know their place. This also includes folks you may be dating. Don't waste your time, money, or energy on people that aren't on your team.
2. Being a Cheerleader
NOW is the time to activate YOUR dreams. Stop standing on the sidelines and cheering your friends on. It is nice to give advice and offer a helping hand but remember what you want out of your life. So enough, cheering get in the game and win alongside your friends and family.
3. Fear
This is an important emotion because it guides us out of potentially hazardous situations. However, as the old adage goes "too much of anything is never good". In 2011 please give yourself the freedom to do what you want when you want. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams... - Henry David Thoreau
4. Non-Productive Play
They say "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". This is a simple truth, however if you are a Dream Hunter you might want to forgo getting piss-drunk every Saturday night as your way of relaxing. Go to places where you can network and participate in fun activities that will help you along your way. Ex. If you are a little known designer trying to make it big, make sure you find yourself at runway shows, art opening or parties where you are sure to run into people that can are into art and design. You can still have fun but make it count!
5. Making Excuses
There is just no excuse to use an excuse. Just do your best in every moment and have no regrets if you falter here and there. You don't have to answer to anyone but yourself.

Fatty the poet : Its about what every other poem is about
syringe or vile or pipe
floating through a grey dusted alley
chased by burned fingers
the minds eye thirst and tricks for fantasy
this is how I dance now.
slow and alone in the nightmares of a pariah
where am i now and where is my God to shade me from the vengeful sun?
over a cream filled coffee some peoples lives become able to bear
only under another flesh and saliva do I live wholly
sinked in teeth
i vamp for security
the drugs, the blood, the addiction, the sport
everything is about the same thing.
collection in a plate
wine in a glass
redness in the hands.
hopeless is the only adjective to survive without displacing itself

Who is Fatty?: Bedtime Stories with Marika May
Creeping at midnight is a creature so fair, daylight fears to touch her
this poison is sweet at the tip of the tongue, you will not die; you will become a feign
A rare look at the beast herself. Let her eat your heart if you want to live

short hand, long hand, grains of sand
so many suns and moons have pasted themselves against that same blue sky
and so many hearts have beat their wings against cages made of ribs
time is a web
sewn by master spiders
time is a quilt
patched by a old women fingers
time is a song
vibrating out of infant mouths
it is all we have on this earth
in this dream that we call life
too trivial to be taken seriously
too serious to call it a joke
is it a concept our imaginations have crafted?
is it every eyelash and lid opening and closing?
is it every footstep toward the horizon?
every heaving of our empty lungs?
how should we count?
by clock, by hour glass, by digital watch
or
by lovers, by tears, by our children,by our wrinkles, by our failures and success
maybe
but I will not count
there is only one. chance.
life is a large moment
I am but a moment
I am time

Straight from Fatty: What JUST had happened to me (Tales from Insomnia)
I'm a certified "Night Owl". I have the most energy at night and feel the most creative after midnight. Sometimes I take advantage of these energy surges by doing more mundane things like cleaning or I even venture out to do some shopping at the 24 hour market.
So tonight, I did the latter. Usually there are only a few people milling about the aisles plus the graveyard staff. Everyone is usually quiet and is minding their own damn business. BUT NOT TONIGHT...
Problem #1 I run into some chick I "kinda knew" from high school. Awkward, and by awkward I mean its 1:05 am I have not a stitch of eyeliner or lip gloss on, I'm not in the mood to talk or have an impromptu reunion with someone I only "kinda knew" from high school.
But I'm training myself to not be such a huge bitch all the time so I said. "Hey Girl, I know you..how you been...OK good...see you around....."
Ugh...gross I hate running into people like that.
Problem #2 I had to ask for help to find an item, AND somewhere between frozen foods and the bread aisle the associate that was helping me got it twisted...
HIM:" Shopping late huh? You come here often?"
ME: "Um?" reluctantly "Yeah??"
HIM: "OK here's what you were looking for"
ME: "Thanks"
HIM: "Is there like, a number I could get"
ME: "What?"
HIM " um...a number, could I have your number"
ME "NO..."
HIM: .......stares at me for another 5 seconds like I'm gonna reconsider, then walks away
Trust. I'm flattered that dudes appreciate The Fatty but there is a time and a place and this was neither..
There is no moral to any of this, but I'll tell you this... I'm off after-midnight shopping for at least a month.
