There is a stray cat that comes by my house. A beautiful Blue Russian type with greenish eyes, charming and mysterious. At first, it was like... weird because I would see it watching me. Lurking behind the bushes at night. Then after a while I noticed that the cat wanted to step to me, but it was scared. I tried to be as disarming as I could but every time I approached it ran away...PUSSY.
One day I realized it had begun to subliminally prey on my "caretaker instincts". So I started to set food out for the cat. It's a stray so I felt bad and just started feeding it left over shrimp or chicken (isn't that what cat's like?). I'm guessing as a stray cat it's done its share of begging and hunting, but I don't think it's ever encountered a human that would shell out good shrimp or chicken.
So, now this cat keeps coming back; so much so that I have appropriately named it Cat.
However Cat is rude... scratches at the door and meows like I owe it something, and on top of all of that Cat managed to sneak in the back door of my house ( I had left it open for fresh air) into the kitchen, I heard some shuffling and all I see is blue/gray tail casually strolling throughout the kitchen...
At the present time. "Cat" is literally eating out of my hands. Let's see how long it will take before Cat will let me pet him
I can't really help but to compare this to my interaction with some menfolk.
Stand-off- ish. Then when its clear to approach they start acting all entitled. Always wanting the best from you (they want us to be "bad bitches" and "five star chicks") while they bring very little to the table.
Us, women just want to touch them. To make some sort of imprint on their heart, minds, and lives. They somehow see this as a threat and start to retreat. After a while they come to the understanding that in order to be fed, clothed, or to feel anything at all, they have to come back to us. They scratch at our back doors and make just enough noise for us to give them what they want over and over again. So we become available to them in hope that they let us truly touch them, hold them...or until were too tired and we have no more food for strays.
xo!
